got this note from someone who made it to mike's mad mule launch...

Mike's party was a rager! There was some discussion among friends about

the nature of Mule's debut as a business, and the general dearth of

company-sponsored parties in SF. So after a swell visit to friends'

pleasant, rent-reduced, new apartment we got on over to Dogpatch, which

is about as isolated a part of SF as possible, though it's across the

street from one of the leading underground party facilities.

So Mule's party turned out to be one of the leading underground

activities I've been to in quite a while. The office is more like an

artist's studio than the typical sterile dot-com "loft" spaces. We ended

the evening with a tour of dives and a drag queen floor show. The old,

real SF was out in force that night, reclaiming the city one apartment,

artist's loft, and dive bar at a time.
