Well that didn't even last a whole day! Bubba is an incredibly sweet dog and very, very loveable. But Auggie hated him. Auggie apparently saw him as a threat, and even after a few hours (and one fracas started by Auggie where Bubba actually had all of Auggie's head in his mouth and drew a little blood over his eye), when Bubba had recognized that Auggie was not going to back down and stopped challenging him, Auggie wouldn't let it go. Every 15 minutes or so, he'd launch himself at Bubba barking his head off and trying to herd him around, biting his ankles and trying to get at his neck.
Props to Auggie for refusing to bow to a dog that outweighs him by about 60 pounds and stands double his height, but it's a bummer because Bubba is a damn fine dog. Oh, well. Maybe we'll find a nice, submissive bitch.
