Now the article is interesting, sure. But the real conundrum here is that while posting this to my site I actually had so many possible crude jokes to choose from that I had to write them down to keep them sorted.
I decided to go with the obvious "suction/sucking/blowjob" joke because it was the most obvious and in the end I think that crudeness and obviousness have an inherent relationship.
South Park, Beavis and Butthead, Jackass? Aren't we just reveling in the glorious crudeness of the obvious? The courage to go for the easy joke, to laugh at the fat kid, the cripple kid, the ugly kid? In our disillusionment have we lost our joy in an attempt to be too clever?
