many worthless thoughts

sorry yall, busy today, away from cornputer. I was awake most of the night not sleeping, listening to the unmistakable sound of a in-heat cat right outside the window. during that time i was thinking of many ridiculous, pointless thinks, like:
1] the quote by Emily Dickinson at the login, "Not knowing when the dawn will come, I open every door," is quite haunting. I need to reread her, I probably haven't read her poems since high school. Who here is an appreciator of hers? Is there a complete collected edition out there? I recall her poems being odd, tenuous, sometimes dark, quivery, etc..right?
another quote here, "Our life is what our thoughts make it."—Marcus Aurelius, ol Marcus is quoting our pal the Buddha: "With our thoughts we make the world"
2] Every Friday after work I go to the goodwill on greenville and look for records. Usually it's a bust, but the last two fridays have been pretty great, especially last friday. Well, yall can judge the records as boon or bust, but i felt pretty good about it, including: mcoy tyner x3, elvis c., peter tosh x2, yardbirds, kris kristofferson, sergio mendez trio, joe jackson x2, morricone, boxcar willie, some great music for belly dancing record, roberta flack, thin lizzy, lou reed, beach boys x2, ornett coleman...let the cd burning begin!
What's weird is i have a record rival: an old white haired lady is always there before or right after me, pawing thru the records! I must beat that evil genius at her own game...
3] the word parallel means lines that run side by side but never meet... and yet skillman rd and abrams rd run parallel but meet up north. What's a fan of parallel-ity to do?
4] If you wanna know what Robert Bork has done in his life so far, here's his resume:

that's it for now,
