Dewey, Cheatham, and Howe

There's some advertising agency in Anchorage that has a sense of humor. Or they're really stupid. I can't tell. There are two radio spots on the air right now that feature slogans right out of the Three Stooges:

The Alaska Journal of Commerce:
"Giving Alaskans the business for 20 years."

The Anchorage Museum of History and Art:
"If it's not art, it's history."

Do the people who approve these ads not get the double meaning, or do the people writing the ads not get it? Or are the copywriters Machiavellian culture jammers able to bamboozle their clients into using these whacko slogans?
